This is a space to learn how to work with your mind, not against it. If you’re ready for a fresh approach, you’re welcome here.
Hey Michigan.
I’m Chelsea (she/her), a therapist and clinical supervisor with 8+ years of experience in the field.
My approach is integrative, collaborative, client-tailored, and empowering. I'm passionate about fostering a brave, warm, and affirming atmosphere for everyone.
What I’m most proud of is the feedback I consistently receive from many of my clients: they feel that I genuinely care about their well-being. I do. Above all, I'm here to offer steadfast support that is both meaningful and transformative.
The Maytree Way
Maytree’s name comes from maitrī, a Sanskrit word meaning benevolence, loving-kindness, and taking an active interest in others. This principle is central to Buddhism and lies at the heart of Contemplative Psychotherapy—the philosophy from which Maytree Therapy is rooted.
Services Offered
Care at Maytree Therapy is affirming, evidence-based, and adapted to the person—not the other way around.
Clients are supported across diverse identities, with particular experience serving LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and those navigating OCD, anxiety, and ADHD. Treatment draws from approaches such as ERP, ACT, CBT, and contemplative psychotherapy, and is offered in a way that feels grounded, collaborative, and responsive to each person’s identity, context, and lived experience. This includes using inclusive, identity-affirming language, thoughtfully adapting evidence-based care, and engaging in ongoing training and consultation to reduce bias and stay accountable to the work. The therapeutic relationship is approached with respect, care, and curiosity. When needs fall outside the scope of care, appropriate referrals are provided.
What People are Saying
“The bad news is you’re falling through the air, nothing to hang on to, no parachute. The good news is, there’s no ground.”
